1Company information and scope

Lindahl Tutoring is a tutoring service operated from Norway, registered with Norwegian organisation number 921 225 148. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Norwegian law.

Lindahl Tutoring provides one-to-one online tutoring lessons delivered remotely.

By booking a lesson or purchasing a bundle of hours, the student — or their legal guardian, where applicable — agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

2Prices and payment

All prices are listed in euros (€), and the euro amount is the price of the service. At checkout, the payment provider may offer to show and charge the equivalent amount in your local currency instead, at its own exchange rate and with a conversion fee that it displays before you pay. This is optional: you can always pay in euros. If you pay in euros with a card issued in another currency, your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate and fees, which are outside Lindahl Tutoring’s control.

The standard rate is €90 per hour. Lessons at the standard rate are booked and paid for one at a time, with no commitment.

A trial class is free of charge and lasts 30 minutes. It may only be booked once per student, and only by students who have not previously booked lessons with Lindahl Tutoring.

A bundle is a single up-front payment for a set number of tutoring hours at a reduced hourly rate. The bundles offered, the number of hours each contains and the rate each carries are those shown on the booking page at the time of purchase.

Buying a bundle also sets the rate for the lessons that follow it. Once the hours in the bundle have been used, further lessons are booked through a private booking link sent by Lindahl Tutoring, and are paid for one at a time at that same reduced rate, on the terms set out in section 8.

Payment is taken at the time of booking a lesson or purchasing a bundle, and is processed by Stripe. Cards are accepted everywhere; any further payment methods offered at checkout depend on your country and on the payment provider.

A confirmed payment constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and confirmation of the booking.

3Booking and scheduling

Lessons are booked through the booking calendar on the Lindahl Tutoring website.

The booking system adjusts for time zones automatically. Students are shown available lesson times in their own local time zone.

It is the student’s responsibility to attend the lesson on time, and to ensure access to a stable internet connection and suitable equipment.

4Cancellation and rescheduling

Lessons may be cancelled with a full refund if cancellation occurs at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time.

Lessons cancelled with less than 12 hours’ notice, including no-shows, are payable in full and no refund will be provided. If the lesson was booked against the hours in a bundle, it counts as completed and is deducted from the hours remaining.

Exceptions may be made in cases of unforeseen illness or emergency, provided appropriate evidence is supplied — for example, a doctor’s note. Lindahl Tutoring retains full discretion in determining whether such evidence is acceptable.

If a lesson must be cancelled by Lindahl Tutoring, the student will be offered either a rescheduled lesson or a full refund of the lesson affected, in addition to an extra lesson provided free of charge.

5Refunds

The trial class is free of charge, so no payment arises that could be refunded.

Individual lessons are refunded only in accordance with the cancellation rules set out in section 4.

Where a lesson booked against the hours in a bundle is cancelled in time, the refund takes the form of those hours not being deducted from the hours remaining.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Most refunds are processed within one to two days, and all refunds within 14 days of the cancellation or withdrawal.

6Right of withdrawal on bundles

When you buy a bundle you have 14 days from the date of purchase to withdraw from it. No reason has to be given.

If you withdraw within those 14 days, every hour you have not yet used is refunded, at the price per hour you paid. Hours already taught are not refunded, since the tutoring for them has been delivered.

By booking a lesson against a bundle’s hours during the 14-day period, you expressly ask for the tutoring to begin before the period ends, and accept that hours already taught are not refunded if you then withdraw.

Withdrawing from a bundle also ends the reduced rate it carried. Lessons booked after the withdrawal are charged at the standard rate in force at the time of booking.

To withdraw, send written notice to contact@lindahltutoring.com within the 14 days.

This right applies to bundles. It does not apply to the free trial class, which involves no payment, nor to individual lessons already booked, which follow the cancellation rules set out in section 4.

7Bundles

Hours bought as part of a bundle do not expire.

A bundle may be withdrawn from within 14 days of purchase, with any unused hours refunded — see section 6.

A bundle is bought for a particular student, and its hours and reduced rate are personal to them. They may not be resold, and may be used for another student only with the written agreement of Lindahl Tutoring.

Hours may be freely split between subjects and topics as desired.

A student already on a reduced rate may buy a further bundle at a lower rate shown on the booking page; the lower rate then applies from that purchase onwards. Bundles do not otherwise combine, and a bundle already bought is not re-priced.

8Your rate after a bundle

Once the hours in a bundle have been used, the reduced rate that bundle carried continues to apply to further lessons. Those lessons are booked through a private booking link, and each is paid for at the time of booking.

The reduced rate is kept for as long as the student continues to be tutored by Lindahl Tutoring. Any later change to the rates offered to new students does not affect it.

The private booking link is for that student’s own use and may not be shared or passed on without the written agreement of Lindahl Tutoring. Lindahl Tutoring may replace it with a new link at any time, and may withdraw it if it is used by anyone else.

The reduced rate does not oblige Lindahl Tutoring to offer any particular number of lessons or lesson times. It ends only if the bundle it came from is withdrawn from, or if tutoring is terminated under section 10 or section 11.

9Referral programme

A student who recommends Lindahl Tutoring to a friend can earn one free hour of tutoring for themselves and one for the friend, on the conditions below.

To refer a friend, a student must have booked tutoring directly with Lindahl Tutoring, and must either have bought a bundle or have had at least 5 hours of paid tutoring by the time the referral is registered.

The referral must be registered before the friend buys a bundle. To register it, the referring student gives Lindahl Tutoring the friend’s name — a first name is enough — either in writing or orally during a lesson. Lindahl Tutoring confirms a referral given orally in writing. How the friend’s name is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

A referral qualifies when both of the following are met:

• The friend had not had any paid tutoring with Lindahl Tutoring when the referral was registered. A free trial class does not count as paid tutoring.
• The friend buys a bundle. Lessons booked one at a time at the standard rate do not qualify.

The friend’s free hour is added to the bundle they buy, and is always the last hour of that bundle to be used. For example, a friend who buys a bundle of 5 hours receives 6 hours, and the 6th is free.

The free hour is not one of the hours paid for. If the friend withdraws from the bundle, the free hour lapses, and any refund is calculated on the paid hours alone, at the price per hour paid.

The referring student’s free hour will be available to them once either 14 days have passed since the friend bought the bundle without the friend withdrawing from it, or the friend has used at least 2 of the bundle’s hours. It is booked through a link sent by Lindahl Tutoring.

A free hour has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or a price reduction, and may not be transferred to another person. Except where it lapses as set out in this section, it does not expire. The cancellation rules set out in section 4 apply to lessons booked with it in the same way as to paid lessons.

Each friend can be referred once, and the referral earns a reward for one referring student only. If more than one student refers the same friend, the referral registered first counts. There is no limit on how many friends a student may refer.

Referrals of members of the referring student’s immediate family — parents, children and siblings — do not normally qualify.

Lindahl Tutoring may, at its discretion, grant the reward even where the conditions set out in this section are not met, if it deems it appropriate to do so.

Lindahl Tutoring may change or end the referral programme at any time. A referral registered before a change keeps the conditions that applied when it was registered.

10Tutor obligations

Lindahl Tutoring undertakes to provide tutoring services in good faith and with reasonable professional care.

No guarantee is given regarding academic results, grades, exam performance, or specific outcomes.

Lindahl Tutoring reserves the right to refuse or terminate services in cases of inappropriate behaviour, abuse, or misuse of the service.

11Student obligations

Students are expected to:

• Behave respectfully and appropriately during lessons
• Attend lessons on time
• Ensure suitable technical conditions for online lessons
• Comply with academic integrity standards, including not using tutoring during live exams or assessments where this is prohibited

Failure to meet these obligations may result in termination of services without refund.

12Intellectual property

Slides and materials created during lessons are sent to the student after each lesson.

All materials are provided for personal use only. Redistribution, resale, or sharing with third parties is not permitted without prior written consent from Lindahl Tutoring.

13Recording of lessons

Lessons may only be recorded if explicit permission is given by both the student and the tutor in advance.

Where the student is under 18, that permission must be given by their parent or legal guardian.

Unauthorised recording of lessons is not permitted.

14Limitation of liability

Tutoring services are provided “as is”.

Lindahl Tutoring shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of academic opportunity or results.

Any liability shall be limited to the total amount paid by the student for the relevant lesson or bundle.

15Data protection and privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

16Amendments to these terms

Lindahl Tutoring reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions.

The version in force at the time of booking applies to that booking or purchase.

An amendment does not change a reduced rate already granted to a student, which is kept as set out in section 8.
